Immortal-Limitless #1 Komm süßer Tod (J.S. Bach BWV 478, c. 1730) for mixed choir At this concert, conceived by Rune Søchting and Jakob W. Goetz, the two composers wish to pay tribute to Knut Nystedt’s work Immortal Bach (1987). In an added third movement, they have structured improvisations for choir and live electronics, in which fragments from the first two movements reappear, then yet again disappear as echoes in the hall. Layers of processed sound, sounds from the room itself and noise from the outside are integrated spatially, forming a meditative collage. Komm süsser Tod, komm sel’ge Ruh |
