Fredric Bergström (1975) ![]() Picture: Cochi Gonzalez Lönneryd Fredric Bergström is an autodidactic piano player. He studied the electric bass from the age of 9. After a total missfailure in his education to be an electrician he considered to create music instead of short circuits. He started his composition studies at the age of 17 and studied for about 8-9 years, the latter years at the School of Music and Music Education, Göteborg University. Bergström composes both contemporary instrumental /choral music as well as electronic music /sound art. He is also a part of the death jazz /noise music group "LÄDER"(Leather) that consist of contemporary composers / musicians playing loud improvised contemporary music. He also plays hurdy-gurdy in the Swedish baroque-folk music ensemble Celadonensemblen. Now he is working as a freelance composer, sound artist, audio consultant, producer & programmer. He is also often involved as a sound / timbre director at live-electronic / electro acoustic concerts.
