Karlakórinn Fóstbræður
Fostbraedur Male Choir is one of the leading male choirs in Iceland, it's history being an important part of Iceland´s music history since the choir's foundation in 1916. The choir gives many concerts annually in Reykjavik and elsewhere in Iceland. It has done a number of recordings, performed in radio and television and appeared in concerts with the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra. The choir has travelled widely abroad, visiting many European countries as well as North America and won prizes in international competitions.
Fostbraedur Male Choir celebrates it’s 90th anniversary this season. The schedule next month includes three concerts with the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, performing among other works Shostakovich´s 13th Symphony, Wagner’s Parsifal and a new piece by Askell Masson.
