Aton

Aton is a group of Icelandic musicians that specialize in the performance of new music. The group has been active since 1998 when a few friends from the Reykjacik College of Music were comissioned by the City of Reykjavík to perform during the summer as a vehicle for new creative music.

Aton has performed widely in Iceland, USA, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. The bulk of the groups repertoire consists of new pieces comissioned specially from young composers. www.aton-ensemble.tk
