Sov Sødt (Sleep Well),NOMUS Commission(5')
paraphrase on Jon Leifs' "Requiem"

Will be premiered at NMD 2006.

"Sov sødt" retains the tonality and the overall progression from Jón Leifs' "Requiem", elaborating on the harmonies and occasionally adding contrapuntal lines. The middle section and the coda are completely new, using texts from Danish hymns (in Danish) by Jakob Knudsen and N.F.S. Grundtvig.
